Go Cubs Go

Last Thursday we went to Chicago for a long weekend with my entire family (minus my younger sister Brooke who had to work).  Tracey found us a beautiful house to rent in the Lincoln Park area.  The house was fun - great to have a kitchen and room for the kids to run and play.  The plan was to have this nice house so that we could put the kids to bed and the adults could stay up and enjoy some adult beverages.  However, I think most nights we all went to bed when the kids did....boy it is rough getting old!

Thanks to the "Ticket Masters" (my dad and brother) we were able to score 11 tickets to sit in the bleachers.  For those non-cub fans the bleachers are in the outfield where the rowdy fans hang out!

then they are going to blow it in the top of the 9th)

The next day we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo.  It was a FREE zoo and was definitely one of the best zoos I have ever been too.  All the animals looked healthy and were very active.  Plus they had kangaroos....seriously, how many zoos have kangaroos!  Highly recommend a trip to the Lincoln Park zoo if you are ever in Chicago.
