Double the Fun at the Minnesota State Fair

On Thursday, September 1st, Dave and I took the afternoon off work and picked Parker up early from daycare to go to the Minnesota State Fair. We had so much fun we had to do everything TWICE.

First Corn-Dog of the day....I think we were inside the fair for about 10 minutes before the corn-dogs were calling Dave and Parker's name.

Parker kept saying he was hungry so about 4 hours later we let him have his second corn dog of the day!

Dave took Parker down the Giant Slide.  Dave said Parker got to the top and then got really scared.  Had a death grip on Dave all the way down.  Then broke down in huge tears at the bottom.  Talk about feeling like horrible parents for scaring our kid on the giant slide.

But later we happened to walk past the slide and Parker said he wanted to go on it again.  At first we thought he was kidding but nope, he really wanted to go!  So this time I took him and he had a blast.

Dave made us stop in the Gander Mountain tent.  They were giving away these crazy hats.  Mine looked like fish, Parker looked like a pheasant, and Dave had deer antlers.

First we got a picture with Mom and Parker -

Second, Parker got his own picture with a grizzly bear.

Not sure where Dad's picture is since he was the one that made us go into Gander Mountain to begin with!

A very fun and exhausting (not to mention expensive) way to spend a nice summer afternoon!
