Weekend Up North

A couple of weekends ago we spent the weekend in a really nice cabin just north of Duluth.  Somewhat unusual for this summer but we had three really beautiful days for our trip. 

Here are a few pictures of us in Duluth.  I was a little disappointed there were no ships in the port while we were there.  But we still had fun walking on the pier.

Parker thought the best part of the entire trip was throwing rocks into the lake.

We spent one afternoon in Goosebury Falls.  Parker really liked the waterfall and would have jumped right in if his mom would have let him. 

She did let him take his socks and shoes off to put his feet in the water.  He did realize very quickly the water was very cold!

Of course I packed snacks for the trip.  So here is one of our quick breaks where Parker is enjoying some peanuts and M&Ms.

The best part of going up north, is the opportunity just to sit in lawn chairs and relax.

Since Dave is always trying to kill dandelions in our yard, Parker never gets the opportunity to blow the flowers.  He about passed out blowing all the dandelions.
